This unit gives a deeper introduction to the elephant, Neo, and quantities libraries for electrophysiological analysis and demonstrates advanced methods for revealing connectivity between neural populations using spikes and local field potentials (LFPs). Working with real multi-area recordings, you’ll learn to convert between data formats, implement proper unit tracking for scientific calculations, and apply coherence measures to reveal frequency-specific coupling between spikes and LFP.
